For many of you who were members or our association last Fall, you may remember a survey that was conducted asking you to help the leadership of PRAA understand what is working well and what can be improved as we continue to provide area families with an opportunity to participate in many different sports and activities. An overwhelming number of members told us that, although many things were working well, the top three things that needed to be improved were A) the Concession Stand B) the condition of the bathrooms, and C) the amount of trash laying around.
We heard you loud and clear and are pleased to announce that this Spring, PRAA will partner with Creative Food Concepts in operating our Concession Stand. In the past, we have relied on volunteers to manage and operate the Concession Stand which worked for awhile, but as the expectations of our membership continued to grow, the ability to find enough volunteers on a consistent basis became a challenge. Therefore, the decision was made to get help from others. We hope that over the next several weeks, you will notice a difference. We have hired in individual to clean the Concession Stand restrooms on a weekly basis and hope you will notice a difference in that area as well. We have also ordered more rollout trash cans for the property in an effort to curb the amount to trash lying around.
That said, we must rely on all of you to help out as well. I am always amazed at the amount of trash left behind at the end of the day. I can not even begin to count the number of water bottles, snack wrappers, chairs, jackets and yes, even gloves and shoes that we have piled up and either thrown away or carted to Goodwill . PLEASE help keep the area around the fields clean by picking up after your family AND your neighbors. Remember, we are all GUEST at the fields we play on, PRAA does not own any of the fields we use, and at any given point in time we could become unwanted guests.
