On Site Registration will be held on Sat. July 24, 2010 at Hemby Bridge Elementary School concession stand from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Skills assesment/draft day will be July 31, 2010 at Hemby Bridge Elementary School softball field.
8U - 9:00 to 11:00
12U - 11:00 to 1:00
All other age groups - players will be placed on a team unless a draft is required due to registration numbers.

All PRAA Softball parents/members are invited to attend this meeting. We will be discussing the fall season and any questions or concerns that you may have.
OUR 2010 UNION COUNTY EAST ALLSTARS
The Porter Ridge Softball program is the only all girl sport in our athletic association. We take pride in teaching our girls solid fundamentals of the game with a strong emphasis on teamwork. We currently offer softball for girls age 4 to 15. The age groups are 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. It is a great way for your child to have fun, make new friends and learn a sport.
Our athletic association is 100% volunteer. In order for our softball program to run, we need help from every parent in our softball program. There is a job for everyone whether it be by helping coach, being a team mom, cleaning the fields or volunteering at our concession stand. Please ask what you can do to help!!!!

Coaching Requirements
Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches are required to complete the Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth on-line certification process at http://www.baberuthcoaching.org/coaches. From here, you can purchase and take your online course, learn more about course content and certification requirements, and manage your certification.

Union County "ELITE" Softball League
Challenge Ball Program
In an effort to keep our best softball players here in our recreational associations, we have formed this challenge ball program for our ELITE softball players throughout the county. The teams will be assembled with Coaches and Girls from Porter Ridge, Waxhaw, Piedmont, Indian Trail, Prospect, South Union and Marshville!!!
Tryouts will be open to all girls registered to play softball on a Union County team. Practices will be on Sundays and we will enter a few tournaments per season.
