Porter Ridge Athletic Association provides youth recreational sports programs for approximately 2,000 children in the western Union County including the communities of Matthews, Stallings, Lake Park, Indian Trail, Hemby Bridge, Unionville and some unincorporated areas of Western Union County. Many of the children attend Hemby Bridge, Porter Ridge, Sardis, Indian Trail or Fairview Elementary and Porter Ridge Middle School.

We provide programs in Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer, Cheerleading, and Basketball for children from 4 to 16 years old. Please browse this site for more information on our specific programs as well as opportunities for you to get actively involved in the lives of the children of this community.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT

Dick's Sporting Goods and PRAA will be holding the 1st Annual Porter Ridge Athletic Association Shop Night on July 20th from 4pm-8pm at the Matthews store location. The store will be open as usual but will only be open for PRAA families from 7pm-8pm. There will be gift certificates, sports tickets, and refreshments for our PRAA family. You will also be able to enjoy an extra 15% off your purchases. Please plan on buying your sports needs for the Fall season during this special event. Come out to support PRAA and one of our best sponsors!!

We Need Your Help

PRAA is a volunteer run association that relies on the help of volunteers and sponsors to successfully offer sports programs for our children. There is a job available here for everyone. We need help with every part of our program. Please contact us with areas you would like to be more involved in. Click HERE to see how you can help.

Sponsorships Available

If you do not have time to help with committees and would simply like to make a donation, sponsor a team, field, or event we have something for you. We rely solely on activity fees and sponsors to fund our sports programs, field development, and field maintenance projects. Reminders

Board/Members meeting takes place the first Sunday of every month in the Hemby Bridge Elementary School cafeteria at 6:30pm. To have an item placed on the agenda for discussion click HERE and send an email directly to the Secretary.

Porter Ridge Athletic Association To Build New Baseball Field

PRAA is proud to announce the construction of a new baseball field at the Porter Ridge School complex. In partnership with Union County Public Schools PRAA will be constructing a much needed baseball field to be used by the Majors baseball division. Construction is scheduled to start soon and finish before the start of the school year. Play on the field will begin the Spring season of 2008.
