Welcome to Porter Ridge Athletic Association
Porter Ridge Athletic Association provides youth recreational sports programs for approximately 2,000 children in the western Union County including the communities of Matthews, Stallings, Lake Park, Indian Trail, Hemby Bridge, Unionville and some unincorporated areas of Western Union County. Many of the children attend Hemby Bridge, Porter Ridge, Sardis, Indian Trail or Fairview Elementary and Porter Ridge Middle School.
We provide programs in Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer, Cheerleading, and Basketball for children from 4 to 16 years old. Please browse this site for more information on our specific programs as well as opportunities for you to get actively involved in the lives of the children of this community.
Remember, as you enjoy the various sports and activities we have available, we have certain rules to insure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. Please be mindful that children of all ages are around, use of tobacco products and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Please encourage when cheering and please leave your pets at home.

We Need Your Help
PRAA is a volunteer run association that relies on the help of volunteers and sponsors to successfully offer sports programs for our children. There is a job available here for everyone. We need help with every part of our program. PRAA is a great place to volunteer any time you have. PRAA has many areas where your help can be used. PRAA is a great place to have fun while donating small pieces of your time with others from our community. If you would like to get involved please fill out and submit the volunteer application form.

Online registration for Spring 2010 sports will open January 1, 2010.
PRAA will be offering Baseball, Softball, and Soccer in the Spring 2010 season. Information regarding each program can be found by visiting the sports page. The sports pages are located on the menu at the left of this home page. Each sport commissioner has organized a great program for their sport and looks forward to a great season. Space will be limited so please sign up early to reserve your spot.

Information About Open Workouts and Tryouts for the Porter Ridge Middle School JV and Varsity Middle Schhol Baseball Teams
The PRMS baseball coaching staff is proud to announce there will be 2 Porter Ridge Middle School baseball teams for the 2010 season. There will be one JV team open to only 6th and 7th graders and one Varsity team open to any qualified 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Tryouts for both teams will be 2/1 and 2/2 weather permitting at the Porter Ridge High School baseball field. If you have any questions you can email the coach by clicking HERE.
